This drop-in movement class specifically designed for clowns is part physical conditioning, part articulation, and a whole lot of improvisation. (It’s like if Pina Bausch and Pee-wee threw a dance party but everyone had to eat one vegetable.) Together, we’ll expand our capacity to hold big wild emotions with safety, while building pathways for precision and specificity for your stage work. All levels welcome!

The Polyvagal Clown is the perfect gateway for the clown curious as well as for seasoned perfomer who wants to sharpen their physical performance skills. Using the work of Grotowski, Allen Wayne, Linklater, Loyd Williamson, as well as Polyvagal Theory and Clowning; we will remind our bodies what it’s like to feel freedom and safety at the same time, all the while creating specificity and presence for your stage work.
